ASUS has once more sent us a new device, this time it’s the Eee Slate B121. It’s part of the commercial ASUSPRO series, and as such comes with all kinds of upgrades designed to meet the demands of organisational and business users.

It may look like some of its ASUS Eee Slate peers, but the 12.1” B121 has been modified to make it more secure and expedient, plus it has a little extra horsepower under the hood so it can run most normal PC software without slowing down, including breezy Adobe Flash. The CPU is an Intel Core i5, the memory is 4GB of DDR3, while storage is in the form of a 64GB SSD. You also get Trusted Platform Module (TPM) data encryption to keep things more tightly locked down, and all purchases come with one year of ASUS WebStorage cloud services for free. The Corning Gorilla Glass screen offers a nice 178 degree viewing angle, and there are multiple input options, including regular touchscreen, Wacom stylus, or external Bluetooth keyboard. Battery life is around 4.5 hours standard, and the device weighs 1.16Kg.

While it may be slight overkill for consumer-level buyers, the B121 does have a few added features that make it more appropriate for professional use, so give it a whirl if you get a chance at a local retailer.
