Together with our partner Intel, we are celebrating the launch of the ASUS N-Series range of laptops with 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ processors; delivering a visibly smart performance with a boost. Featuring audio designed by Bang & Olufsen ICEpower®, the N-Series brings sound alive and creates an exemplary multimedia viewing and listening experience. Now your computing experience can be smarter, faster and more visually stunning.

Our Visibly Smart video competition is inviting short movie makers from across the UK to create a 2 minute piece of work that celebrates being Visibly Smart, acknowledges ASUS global strapline, Inspiring Innovation, Persistent Perfection and cleverly incorporates a favoured feature of the N-Series.

Entries will be uploaded onto Techinstyle.tv and the public will be invited to engage via commenting and voting. Everyone that votes or comments on the videos will be entered into a draw to win an N-Series laptop. The team behind the winning video will each receive an N-Series laptop (up to 4) and the winning video and team will be profiled on ASUS global website and commissioned to create a video for ASUS UK later in 2011/2012.

You can enter a video whilst the competition voting period is live we will aim to review and upload your video into the competition space within 48 hours of submission.

How can it be surround sound if there are no speakers behind you? What the graphics are showing is stereo sound. Can someone explain

I would enter the competition, however i’m a little unsure about the brief. It says you have to create a film that explores the idea of being visibly smart with inspiring innovation. I understand the visibly smart part but for the inspiring innovation could I just show someone being inspiring? Also when it says features your favourite feature of the N – Series, does it mean I need to just make my film use one of the features on the N – Series? So for example I could make my film have full surround sound and use real bass so it uses a feature on the N – Series? Sorry for the long questions, i’m just a little confused…

Hi Rob, the intrepretation is all yours… and yes you could show someone being inspired. For an N-series feature this could range from focusing on sound, to mentioning a N-series during the video etc. Good luck. And hope this helps!
