ASUS has launched a new motherboard range based on the Intel’s H57 and H55 chipsets, and supporting the latest USB 3.0 and SATA 6G technologies.

Both the P7H57D and P7H55 series motherboard support the new Intel Core i7, Core i5, Core i3, and Pentium processors. Keen to provide maximum flexibility for the Intel’s new LGA1156 (Socket H) platform, ASUS is offering a total of several motherboard designs – including three ATX and four mATX models.

All models include ASUS’ exclusive GPU Boost technology, which serves up incredible visual performance – essential for anyone wanting to exploit the world of HD gaming.

Energy efficiency is a cornerstone of GPU Boost. ASUS’ Energy Processing Unit (EPU) constantly monitor’s the graphics load and moderates power output according to demand.

The P7H57D-V EVO, meanwhile, supports the next generation of both USB and SATA technologies. In addition to 12 USB 2.0 connectors, the P7H55D-M EVO boasts two USB 3.0 sockets. It also offers two SATA 6Gb/s sockets, on top of six SATA 3Gb/s connectors.

Coupled with a PCIe X4 bridge chip, users can expect significant improvements in data transfer speeds – a 25GB movie file can be shifted in just 70 seconds.
