In the lead up to the busiest gaming season of the year, we’re getting word that AAA title Batman: Arkham City is getting a special bundle with select ASUS graphics cards in conjunction with NVIDIA. Namely, these are the DirectCU cards, such as the massive GTX 580. These cards are now going to ship with an Arkham City download voucher in the box, so you’ll be able to play one of the year’s most anticipated games as intended, in full DX11 glory and with enhanced PhysX.

Stand for justice

As you may recall, Arkham City is a sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum, one of the most acclaimed games of this generation. Both were developed by Rocksteady, and published by Warner Bros Entertainment. Arkham City is set to expand the experience, letting gamers run around Gotham City (or parts of the city) as they attempt to put down yet another criminal incursion. This time, Batman must face Mr. Freeze, and Catwoman is also involved. While Freeze may not be done by the venerable Arnold (oh the Joel Schumacher movies, so misunderstood…), we’re sure this is all going to be great fun. Rocksteady is talking this up, bringing back the beloved detective mode and fluid combat, while lengthening the story mode and adding all manner of new gameplay elements.

The forecast for tonight - copper cooling!

Batman: Arkham City, named after the infamous “facility” where some of Gotham’s less stable citizens are housed, is scheduled to release sometime in October, but the bundle will be with retailers starting end of this month. Keep an eye out for it!
