While the date for the arrival of the Eee Pad Transformer in the UK has slipped a bit until June 2011, the pad has landed in the US and the response has been phenomenal. Launched yesterday on those far shores, the Eee Pad Transformer is already out of stock in most places.
This is an impressive result. The Eee Pad Transformer has had some impressive reviews and received critical acclaim from experts that have had a chance to play with it. EAT have had one of these nifty devices on test for a week now, and their reviews are overwhelmingly positive.
This 10.1inch tablet that comes with the extremely nifty docking station and keyboard, offers superb tablet features and extras that make it a market leader in more ways than one. The clever keyboard docking station actually slots closed over the tablet itself, converting it into a netbook sized device for easy travel and storage.
It is going to be very interesting to see what happens in the UK when the Eee Pad Transformer arrives here. Certainly the hype has many people sitting up and taking notice, and the market for tablets has barely been plundered. Will the UK stores sell out as rapidly as those in the UK did?
Well the first shipments certainly sold quickly. The Inquirer tipped it at “overwhelming demand” and quoted ASUS’ statement saying that demand for the tablet has been “far beyond our expectations.”
I imagine that when then next batch of stock ambles onto our shelves the results will be the same…
