EeeKeyboard PC finally breaks cover

It seems that the marketing men (or women) from ASUS know how to generate a buzz.

The official video promo for the EeeKeyboard PC was released last week and immediately set tongues wagging, or in this case, fingers hammering keys in cyberspace. After over a year of delays, this video is definitely the surest sign that the ground-breaking product is about to hit market.

Stefan from Fresh Gizmos hopes that this is proof that the EeeKeyboard PC will shed its UFO-esque “Does it really exist?” status and finally make an appearance.

Last August, Danny Allen of Gizmodo cited DigiTimes, expecting the EeeKeyboard PC to be out “as early as October 2009”.

Our friends over at Engadget have long since been following the EeeKeyboard PC. This time round, Engadget’s Joanna Stern seems pretty sure that it will ship at the end of this month.

And half a world away in Singapore, Darius Chang of CNET Asia caught a glimpse of it in the flesh at an electronics retailer event.

Our sources reveal that the EeeKeyboard PC is in fact poised to hit the markets soon.

For those who might have forgotten what it is all about, the EeeKeyboard PC is a home entertainment PC housed within a full-sized keyboard with a 5” touch screen. And through the magic of ultra-wideband technology, it’s able to turn any TV or monitor into a fully-functioning PC. It packs the Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and comes with a 16GB or 32GB solid state drive.
