PC gaming is a much-loved platform by just about everyone including myself. We can spend countless hours sitting in front of the computer, that’s not pretty healthy, isn’t it? Perhaps it’s time for us to get up and get moving.
Console gamers have it a bit better. Established players like Microsoft have given us XBOX Kinect, while Nintendo has given us the Wii. Both game consoles utilize motion sensing technology but aren’t compatible with PC set ups.
Enter the all new ASUS Xtion - the first ever top to toe body motion sensor developed exclusively for the PC. The Xtion employs sophisticated sensors that allows us to interact with PC at a whole new level.
Setting up the Xtion is pretty easy, just plug in to any USB port and we’re good to go. The Xtion also works fine with notebooks as long as they meet the minimum hardware and software requirements.
With whole-body active input, gaming with the Xtion naturally becomes more exciting, allowing for greater immersion in the game. The intuitive design of Xtion also enables it to cater to multiplayer games, so family and friends can join in the fun. The list of compatible games continues to grow even as we speak. The current list of supported games include SEGA’s Virtua Tennis™ 4, EA’s Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Capcom’s Street Fighter® 4 , Fruit Ninja by Halfbrick Studios, and Rovio’s world-famous Angry Birds™.
Can you imagine “physically” playing Street Fighter 4?! I can visualize myself performing the “Ha-Dou-Ken”, a special move from Street Fighter 4 character Ryu.
The Xtion brings PC gaming to a whole new level, so instead of sitting in front of a PC all day, you’ll be immersed into the game. The Xtion also comes with custom-designed Facebook, Picasa, and Flickr applications that enables uploads via motion gestures.
