Wouldn’t it be lovely if…?

How many times have I heard that said, or variants thereof, by a mate or a colleague?

Wouldn’t it be lovely if there were an extra couple of USB ports?

Wish there was a bit more clearance between the first ram slot and the aftermarket CPU cooler that I want to use. Or PCI-e x16 lanes are too close together for triple slot cards to run in SLI.  You get what I mean.

Sometimes we just wish that we could ask ASUS to change or add something to one of their products. Because after all it is us the users them self who best know what features or additions are most needed for products. That got me thinking and I spoke to a few people and this is the outcome of those chats at the coffee machine.

Have your say.  Each and every one who is thinking of or has bought an ASUS product you are part of the ASUS family too. We all have the power to choose what model is best for our needs based on the wide range of models that ASUS provides and now we have the power to tell ASUS what it is we want from our products in the future. The power to ask ASUS to design the products that suite your requirements, the power to have ASUS hear your voice and listen.  So have your say.

Do you have a wish list of features or innovations that would make your life easier or just simple a darn good idea that you cannot understand why has not been incorporated as yet? I do I want each and every motherboard to have a power and reset button, and my wife does as you will see later, and I am sure that there are heaps of you out there in cyber land that do too. So here is what I suggest we do.

We tell Asus what it is we want to see included on our new products. You read that correctly it was not a typo, after all the most important people in the ASUS community is you and I, the people who buy and use ASUS products.  So have your say about what you want by telling ASUS what features you would like to have included on products.  ASUS are really committed to hearing what we have say, they listen to what real people like you and me say. This article is proof of that.

So… if you have a feature that you would like to see incorporated into a product get to our facebook page right now and posts it up.  Each week I will select a few of the submissions and publish them here on TiS.tv. And who is to say that on future products your suggestion might just show up on the feature list.

I am looking forward to hearing your ideas and suggestions so off to Facebook and let ASUS know what it is you want to have on your next motherboard.

Just to start the ball rolling here is the feature that tops my wife’s wish list.

Built in Wi-Fi on motherboards.

Cables and wires at the back of PC’s are the bane of my life, and network cables especially.

So I am really hoping that the whispers I am hearing that some of the new X79 chipset models will include on-board Wi-Fi are true. Built in Wi-Fi is the one feature I would most like to see on motherboards, it should be possible as my notebook and laptop have built in Wi-Fi. The P5K Deluxe Wi-Fi edition motherboard nearly got it right, but I did not like that thin wire to the antenna unit. So please ASUS would you make a motherboard that incorporates Wi-Fi and has a built in antenna.

Oh the joy, the joy.  Just think only two cables sticking out of the back of my case. Power lead and the video cable, since my keyboard and mouse are wireless.  My screen has built in sound so no need for speakers either. The joy of a cable free PC is now one step closer.  For some reason this makes me think of the Pink Floyd song, Another Brick in the Wall.

All together now

We don’t need no messy PC’s

We don’t need no wire control

No dark confusion at the back

Geeks leave them cables alone

Hey! Geeks leave them cables alone

All in all it’s simply wireless built into the board.

All in all it’s simply wireless built into the board.

(Sung to the tune of Another Brick in the Wall – Pink Floyd)
