Finally the long wait is all but over! ASUS has announced that  they will be rolling out the Android Jelly Bean update for ASUS Transformer Pad Prime (TF201) and the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700).

Here is the official statement from ASUS:

“Dear Valued ASUS Customers,

 We are pleased to announce that we will soon be rolling out a major software update for both the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700) and ASUS Transformer Pad Prime (TF201), which will bring Android™ 4.1, Jelly Bean to the devices. We always strive to deliver the latest updates for our customers – we hope you enjoy it.

 Thank you for your continued support.”

Users can expect the following soon:

  • OS upgrade from Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)
  • Default enabled System Bar Lock
  • Addition of Multiple Photo Selection feature
  • Support for Connect Dock (Accessory)
  • Removal of Adobe Flash support
  • Removal of Wi-Fi Direct function support
  • Removal of Press Reader

So calling out to all loyal TF201 and TF700 owners – be prepared to enjoy the sweetness of Jelly Bean!
