CES has seen some spectacular action this year, and I mean truly spectacular. If you’ve been desperate for a tablet then this show has poured out a ton for you to throw some drooling at. There were over 80 tablets announced at the show and among the best were those presented by ASUS.

The ASUS Eee Slate EP121 is one of the biggest beauties to emerge at CES this year. A monstrous screen and a ton of features make it one of the most impressive of the 80 or so tablets showcased. I am personally in awe of the sheer range of options that are given to the consumer and am very keen to get my grubby paws on it.

The EP121 Slate is available with either 64GB or 32GB of storage and measures 12.1 inches diagonally across the screen. That much space is guaranteed to make your working experience that much more exciting and easily controlled. I am a total sucker for big screens – I’ve never quite caught with the smart phone world – so this is ideal.

The specs are delicious – especially if you compare the EP121 to other tablets lurking on the scenes at the moment – with 4GB RAM, Intel Core i5 processor at 1.3GHz, loads of ports and slots (HDMI and SD and USB) for that all important connectivity and storage management.

You do get a stylus with the Slate, which is an ace extra compared to the limited accoutrements you get with other models, that can be used if you so desire. The screen is capacitive so the stylus is not mandatory, of course, but even with a capacitive screen, some applications are easier to control with a one.

The Slate is a great device for business humans on the go, and for families. Especially for parents. The huge range of Android apps available for educational and entertainment purposes are guaranteed to keep kids busy, entertained and teach them a thing or two at the same time. This is a huge blessing for anyone who has to juggle kids, work and life and would like just an extra few minutes to get things done.

I can’t WAIT to get my hands on the Eee Slate EP121, it looks set to be a solid performer in the tablet market and it’s going to be interesting to see how things pan out over the next few months.
