Bethan and Spode sit down and talk about cookies, their pros and cons and even new laws aiming to regulate them. Well, not the cookies you’re keen on eating in front of the television while watching something, although the conversation does get started discussing those!

Actually, the dynamic duo are talking about cookies as part of your browsing experience, as in background programmes that track your online behaviour and remember where you’ve been, what you’ve done, what you’ve bought and so forth. Cookies can be very helpful in that they offer continuity the next time you visit a site, but they can clearly be a problem as they track you around and may often clutter your experience. There’s also the possibility of taking up precious computing resources, let’s not forget.

And now, allow me to indulge in the proper kind of cookies. The ones with sugar in them.
