Last weekend saw the sixth annual Blizzcon LAN event in California. BlizzCon is a celebration of the global player communities surrounding the Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo universes, so if you’re into competitive gaming, MMOs (massively multiplayer online games) and seeing exclusive previews of the latest Blizzard titles, then it’s an event you’ll love!
As a gaming event it was only natural then that the ROG Maximus IV GENE-Z was the sponsored motherboard for the LAN gaming demo area.
ASUS ROG team was there celebrating its 5 year anniversary, by adding spice to the action with some extreme overclocking using liquid nitrogen. There was also gaming space to try out new G74 ROG laptops with Vulcan ANC headsets and get hands-on with the latest hardware like the MARS II graphics card.
There was also the chance to game on the upcoming Intel platform that used the recently announced ASUS X79 series motherboards, which Tweaktown covered in this this video:
You can see a full set of photos from the event on the ASUS North America Facebook page.
