Whew! What a whirlwind day it’s been so far. The ASUS Computex 2012 press conference commenced in front of a packed house with media on hand to see what would be unveiled and in store for the masses in the coming months. ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih didn’t disappoint, unleashing a combo of products that were all geared towards Cloud computing. Introduced was the RT-AC66U router, using the latest 802.11ac standard that has wireless speeds reaching a max of 1.75Gbps, a new ultrabook dubbed the Transformer Book (ultrabook that transforms to a tablet, instead of tablet to notebook), the 23″ and 27″ MX Designo monitor, the ASUS 18″ AIO Transformer, two Windows 8 Tablets with the now synonymous ASUS Mobile Dock, and the star of the show, the ASUS Taichi, a tablet which features a full HD display on the inside, as well as a full HD touchscreen on the lid of the notebook. We’ll have more recaps of each day, with accompanying pics each day, so come back each day for more Computex 2012 articles!
Postal
Having worked in various facets of the computer industry, Postal has a deep understanding of the mindsets of everyone from the software industry to hardware manufacturers and IT support. An avid gamer, he developed his online moniker after many intense hours of LAN gaming in his early college days, when another gamer commented that his domination was akin to “going postal”. He enjoys sunsets, long walks on the beach, and candlelit dinners. Oh, wait….how’d that get in there? He’s a practical joker, making smart-alec comments. Don’t mind him.
