It’s two in as many days for ASUS – in a recent reader voted awards program run by UK consumer publication, Expert Reviews, ASUS has yet again topped the polls as best laptop manufacturer for 2010, slipping ahead of other popular brand names to win the coveted award.
We recently reported that the company had also topped the table of Rescuecom’s independent stats, as the most reliable laptop and netbook brand out there as well.
As a highly regarded UK website, Expert Reviews covers all facets of consumer technology, so such a win is a significant stamp of approval for the ASUS brand and its products.
What’s more, ASUS also won a commended award for its M4A785D-M Pro motherboard – the only motherboard to do so. Others commended products included the ATI Radeon HD 5770 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 graphics cards, yet unsurprisingly the winner was the fantastic Intel Core i5-750.

He’s enjoyed the latter since a very young age – eschewing consoles for customizability of a PC (with the finest backbones like the Asus P3B-F and A7V133) and the feel of a keyboard and mouse. As soon as he could afford a notebook he got one and things have rolled on from there into sleek DTRs (desktop replacements) netbooks, smartphones and he’s already eyeing up the latest tablets while trying to think up an excuse to own one. After writing about all things tech for several years it is only natural he sought to join the already awesome TiS team.
