nx90I’ve mentioned the plans that ASUS have for Milan Design Week in some detail and today the event kicks off in all its glory. Last week I was lucky enough to take a peek at the movies they created for Senses Remix and I hope you were as blown away as I was. So what exactly is Senses Remix I hear you ask? Well, this is ASUS innovative plan to showcase new ways in which technology can energise sound, sight and touch.

Visitors to the Milano Studio Digital will experience an orchestra created by 16 ASUS NX90 notebooks. Their sterling sound courtesy of Bang & Olufsen ICEPower and built-in ASUS technology, will carry the tone of the event with crystal clarity and depth of sound usually unheard of in a notebook.

Once you’ve been lulled by the sweet sounds of the NX90s singing in chorus, you’ll be able to create your own symphony of the Eee Slate EP121, another of the pads launched by ASUS this year. Each one of these slates will be programmed to play a different musical instrument so the effect is bound to be interesting, if not mesmerising.

eee slate ep121In their Behind our Sound theme, ASUS are also offering you the opportunity to see a history of the NX90 and how it came about. It is particularly interesting to see how much input the well known designer David Lewis had in the creation of the NX90 and how carefully ASUS worked to create something beautiful and functional.

Another area worth visiting is the Beyond your touch theme where you can get your hands all over the new Eee Pad range and see exactly how well these devices work. I’ve spoken at length about these fabulous devices, especially the Eee Pad Transformer, so if you haven’t given one a try yet, then this will be the perfect time to try.

ASUS have rounded off their impressive plans for Milan Design Week and Senses Remix by partnering with interior landscaper Poliform, the lighting specialist Artemide, and the wine maker Il Mosnel. Milan Design week runs from 12 April to 17 April and is a must see for the design afficionado.
