ASUS U36SD ultra thin laptop

While size zero’s of the fashion world tend to be visually unappealing, the same is definitely not true of the ASUS range of thin and portables that is coming out in 2011. Whether you’re into pads, laptops or netbooks, there is a thin and light device to suit you…

We’ve already talked about the upcoming release of the ASUS U36S. This light ultraportable laptop is not just the kind of weight a supermodel dreams of, but also thin enough to carry off the latest fashions with ease. The U36S is only 19mm thick!

Considering how well the U36J did on the review front (see this fabulous review from TechRadar), the U36S should prove to be equally powerful and impressive. It includes the Intel Sandy Bridge processor, a fingerprint reader, 4-cell and 8-cell battery choices, plenty of connectivity options and the Super Hybrid Engine technology for improved power efficiency.

The Eee Pad Transformer has a super thin profile as it is only 12.98mm thick and it weighs only 680g. It’s light enough to hold and manipulate for extended periods of time, and it can even extend its battery life with the optional keyboard dock.

The Eee Pad Transformer has garnered favourable reviews for its performance and features, and looks set to take the market by storm when stock appears on 01 June 2011.

Netbook fans will enjoy the ASUS Eee PC 1215B netbook that is based on the new AMD Brazos platform. Netbooks are, by their very nature, eminently portable and this particular beauty offers a plethora of ace features such as a 12” screen, the AMD C-50 dual core processor, and improved power efficiency.

So, there you have it. A bunch of thin and light and sexy devices that should suit every pocket and personality. This is one time where the love of thin is perfectly and completely acceptable…

I think the new U-series in general is wonderful especially when it comes to battery life. So, I would say it would be my favorite. There is definitely some cool mini-netbooks on the way as well.
