If you’re the “let’s get down to business” type, then ASUS probably had you in mind when they developed the ASUS P1 Portable LED Projector.

If the adage of time is money holds true, the P1 will save you some hard-earned dough, if not then several seconds at least. Looking at its specifications and features, there’s little doubt that the P1 is designed to save you time.

The P1 can be set-up for use in as little as 5 seconds, powering up almost immediately and has no cooling down period either, powering off instantly.

An easily adjustable flip-down stand is used instead of the traditional screw stands; and an Auto Keystone Correction feature automatically detects the device’s orientation and corrects distorted trapezoid images that result from an angled projections.

In terms of performance, this high definition projector is rated at 200 ANSI lumens and projects images at resolutions as high as 1280 x 800. It has a short throw ratio of 1.16:1, and projects 40” images when placed just a meter from the screen.

The P1 uses what ASUS calls an Eco-LED light source which is said to be mercury-free and comes with a lifespan of 30,000 hours, or 20 years if you used the P1 for 4 hours every day. Its internals feature thermal conductive magnesium alloys and has been designed to increase cooling efficiency to prevent overheating.

The compact P1 tips the scales at just 415g and its compact size means it easily fits inside small bags and briefcases. It is also compatible with most ASUS notebook AC power adapters (≧65W) so you don’t need to lug around the extra weight. The P1’s clean lines also recently bagged the Good Design Award in Japan and the iF Product Design Award in Germany
