Streaming media onto your TV has never been so much fun, nor has it ever been so easy. Today you can find a plethora of devices that will handle your media streaming needs without breaking too much of a sweat, and now ASUS has climbed aboard this bandwagon with their very own Miracast dongle that looks set to deliver some great features.

dongle

It uses, as the name says, the Miracast peer-to-peer streaming system that works across a Wi-Fi network and needs you to only enable specific settings to get it working nicely across your ASUS devices and your TV. You can use this to carry multimedia from your tablet, phone, notebook and in full HD, which is rather nice.

You can see the ASUS Miracast dongle video right here, it will talk you through all the bits and pieces around using the device and show you exactly how much you can get out of it! This works with the MeMO pad, Transformer Pad and FonePad models as well as the Nexus 7 tablet (the latest incarnation) and each of these devices is primed to handle whatever the dongle demands of it.

You can now sit back and stream your favourite movies, videos and photos on a big screen TV, play tablet or mobile games on your TV and it is very easy to set up and play. The Miracast dongle supports dual-band wireless and HDMI for superb quality transmission and reduced latency. It is plug-n-play, and was the winner of several awards. Nice.
