I have been doing quite a bit of travelling with my ASUS Nexus 7 lately and using it as both an e-reader and an entertainment platform. While I like staring out the window for hours on end as much as the next person, sometimes a game or two is essential for my sanity and so here are five games that I have found utterly brilliant for the Nexus 7 and the road…
Where’s My Water
This has to be one of the best games I’ve played in a very long while. Addictive and funny and cute, this game is challenging for adults and kids alike. If you fancy some ridiculous problem solving so an alligator can have a shower, then this one is for you.
Dead Trigger
I will always have a soft spot for zombies and this shooter is brilliant on the Nexus 7, primarily because this device just aces the demands the game puts on the system. The ASUS Nexus 7 has the oomph to tackle the framerates as effectively as the zombies.
Osmos
This game is an enchanting dream. You must make your little amoeba thing the biggest player in town by absorbing others. There are hazards, pitfalls and rules, of course, and the soundtrack adds a mesmeric touch to the whole experience.
Tiny Tower
I could be recommending Tiny Tower because I’m one of those sad humans with a penchant for puzzle games and sim games. With this title you can expect to spend hours getting addicted to creating floors, tenants and towers.
Minecraft.
This is one of the most popular and addictive games beetling around and it seems like everyone is playing it. Now you can slap it onto your Nexus 7 which not only has sufficient screen real estate, but also the requisite processing power.
