Things heat up as you scroll down the list of categories in the T3 Gadget Awards and you notice that ASUS have been shortlisted in the Tech Brand of the Year category. I think this is huge considering that they are sitting side by side with Amazon, Apple, Google and Sky.

In the Work Gadget of the Year, the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime is once again in contention for the prize. This gadget has now been shortlisted for no less than FOUR categories in the T3 Gadget Awards as it is also ready to win the Tablet of the Year category. It resides in this highly competitive slot alongside Apple, Sony, Samsung and Google – although the Nexus also bears the ASUS name.
