People usually associate all-in-one PCs for the home, a device that often finds itself doing double duty as a family information or entertainment centre. However, their potential extends way beyond that, and some models have proven themselves to be equally effective in the business realm.

The ASUS ET1612I is a touch-enabled AiO PC that features a 15.6” HD+ LED display and is powered by the Intel® Celeron® Processor 847 and Intel® HD Graphics with up to 4GB of memory. In terms of storage, it comes available with a 320G HDD or 64G SSD.

The ET1612I features multiple COM ports that are compatible with various devices for business use — users can simply plug in bar code scanners, credit card sliders or receipt printers together with the AiO PC for an ideal point-of-sale machine. The single-point touch capability of the ET1612I gives customers the freedom to work the machine on their own to order food in restaurants or make requests in banks.

The ET1612I also has a host of output ports. The HDMI-out port provides uncompressed digital video and audio quality and enables the transmission of high definition content; while the VGA-out port can deliver content to a projector, monitor or TV set. In addition, the ET1612I has two USB 3.0 ports for high speed data transfers at up to 4.8Gb/s – this is 10 times faster than current USB 2.0 speeds. The quick charging capability of USB 3.0 is a cut above USB 2.0 as well, supporting 900mA instead of just 500mA for the latter.
