In a week that is exploding with cool videos, ASUS drops yet another showing off its evolution in ‘super’ power hardware for its graphics cards.

It’s less radio-active spider and more super, next-gen tech though, as ASUS has opted to develop the use of ‘super alloy’s’ for its power components. These are formed under “extreme pressure and temperature” in order to achieve better performance and lower operating temps, which, on today’s toasty graphics cards can only be a good thing. As you can see in the video, the large square chokes (electrical inductors) even have a new laser etched design too! Pew-pew-pew! I want that job – I’d do my watch, my phone, my laptop…

In addition to the new, longer-than-the-already-long-life super-alloy capacitors (all in the name of reliability), there’s a whopping great big ‘SAP’ cap on the back of the GPU core to better support the demands of overclocking and all-day gaming sessions.

As yet we don’t know which cards will get the new technology, but as soon as we know more details we’ll keep you all informed. If you have any thoughts in the meantime though, drop them in the comments below.
