Overclockers have never had it so good with two new Republic of Gamers motherboards from ASUS. Launched at Computex 2010, the ROG Crosshair IV Formula and ROG Rampage III Extreme incorporate a whole host of custom features to make safe and stable overclocking easier than ever, putting even more power within reach of demanding PC users who don’t want to spend money on costly processor upgrades.

Designed for Intel® LGA 1366 (Socket B) processors, the ROG Rampage III Extreme supports on-the-fly overclocking with ASUS ROG Connect. Just connect a laptop to the motherboard’s USB socket or a compatible smartphone via Bluetooth, and you can tweak performance parameters on one screen and see the effect in a game or application on the desktop display — all without rebooting.

ASUS Extreme Engine Digi+ also combines high quality analogue and digital design elements for optimum electrical, thermal and material performance fore reduced switching delay times and improved signal accuracy.

Extreme overclockers will also appreciate the ROG Rampage III Extreme’s LN2 mode that solves cold-boot bugs that can crop up with liquid nitrogen cooling, while Q Reset offers a quick and easy way to clear the CMOS when frosting prevents a reset in standby mode.

Overclockers looking to take advantage of hidden features in AMD® Socket AM3 processors otherwise prevented by the AMD® 8 Series chipset will be thrilled by the ASUS ROG Crosshair IV Formula. ASUS Core Unlocker technology can release locked cores for an instant, no-cost processor upgrade, while ASUS Turbo Unlocker delivers on-demand performance tuning by adjusting the clock speed of each processor core to suit single-threaded and highly-threaded applications.

With the same powerful ROG Connect overclocking features as the ROG Rampage III Extreme, the ROG Crosshair IV Formula brings new levels of performance to hard-core overclockers and gamers alike.
