ASUS UX Series Ultra Portable
Innovative industrial design is something of a hallmark for ASUS and it’s particularly evident in its wide range of notebooks. So far we’ve seen models that have been made using bamboo, finished with a funky pink and brown texture and even designed along similar lines to stealth fighter aircraft. At Computex next month, however, ASUS is going to unveil a notebook that’s really special — the UX Series.
Design inspiration always comes from somewhere and for the new UX Series of ultraportables, the initial concept came from luxury timepieces. Elegant cases, exquisite finishes and precision crafted components are all features of the finest models, and these same design touches all feature heavily in the UX Series.
Laptop users who are demanding an uncompromised computing experience in a lightweight, highly portable design, will find ASUS responds to their needs instantly. ASUS’s latest UX Series is transforming the PC into an ultra thin, ultra responsive device will change the way people interact with their PC.
Clad in a needle-thin aluminium alloy case whose profile evokes a sweeping second hand, the UX Series is both tough and light — the case is a mere 3mm at its thinnest point and weighs just 1.1kg. A unique ‘spun’ effect adds a degree of opulence to the expertly machined exterior and the same bare metal finish also seamlessly extends to the notebooks’ interior.
Style plays a critical part in the UX Series’ design, but so does ergonomic comfort. The generously proportioned is combined with a large glass trackpad that blends smoothly into the wrist rest, while the screen is mounted on extra durable, wobble-free, hinges.
ASUS isn’t letting slip much about the specification just yet, but rest assured that the UX Series’s standard voltage 2nd-generation Intel® Core™ i7 mobile processor packs more than enough performance. Features such as instant-on and a standby time that’s measured in days mean that the UX Series will hold lots of appeal for demanding mobile users, too.
So, stay tuned to TechinStyle.tv to learn more about the ASUS UX Series as the official Computex announcement draws near.
