Whilst the ASUS engineer was busy updating our colleagues on ASUS new products, we managed to sneak away an ASUS Eee PC 1016 sample and take a closer look. Targeted at the corporate user, it features a number of new innovations. In addition to Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0 for faster data transfers, Bluetooth 3.0 and up to 14 hrs battery life – the Eee PC 1016 also allows the user to charge an external device without being powered on (such as a mobile phone if you’re abroad and forgotten your mobile charger).
